The number
one question we hear . . . . . . how long will my order take?!
Our turnaround
averages 3 weeks from the final approval of your proof. During
"wedding season" (March through June) please allow
another week or so before completion for orders over 100. Keep
in mind your own schedule, your quantity and how much time you
will need to address & mail your invitations. We recommend
placing an order 4 weeks prior to the date you want to send them
out. If you are planning to have a calligrapher address your
envelopes, envelopes can be shipped ahead of the invitation order
for a minimal $10 charge.
When should
I mail my invitations?
Invitations
are mailed 6-8 weeks prior to your wedding date. If you're planning
a destination wedding that involves extra travel and planning
for your guests, we recommend mailing them 8-12 weeks ahead.
Your prices
are listed for 50 and 75, but I only need 65. Can I order just
65?
Yes!
As long as you choose the standard print method, although in
some cases we can go ahead with thermography printing for other
quantities as well.
I love the
paper but would rather have a larger invitation- can that be
changed?
Of course!
Almost all of our invitation designs are "flexible"
in font choice, size, papers & accents. Our designs are shown
using different colors, ribbon & accents to give you an idea
of how one detail can change the entire look of the design. Your
final price will be adjusted for larger (or smaller) styles.
Do I have
to order a sample first?
Not at
all, but we always recommend samples so you can see & feel
first hand the exact color and quality of our papers. And remember
if you're debating between papers & colors, paper swatches
are free of charge and can be requested by a simple phone call
or e-mail.
What about
a custom sample?
Sure!
Simply send us your ideas and we can put together a sample for
your with your choice of fonts, papers & accents.
How do your
papers affect the environment?
Our handmade
papers are all tree free and eco-friendly! Imported from India,
Nepal, Thailand, Japan and Italy, our handmade papers are made
from wool, silk, cotton...all by-products of the textile industry.
Papers with petals, bark & leaves have a kozo base infused
with *downed* petals and leaves.
What is the
difference in the types of printing?
Standard/laser
print gives a sharp, clear image and is flat and smooth on the
page. Standard ink colors can be adjusted in brightness and hue,
and we offer a wide range of motifs available to personalize
your invitation ensemble.
Thermography printing is raised with a glossy finish and results
in a more formal look. Thermography is limited to the ink colors
and motifs shown, and the cardstock is not from recycled papers.
And of course,
budget is always a key consideration! In general, standard print
is more economical for quantities less than 100, but for large
quantities, thermography is the better package.
Thanks
so much for your interest in our invitations, and we look forward
to working with you!
